SEASONAL POSITION VILLAGE OF SKOKIE The Village of Skokie is currently accepting applications for a seasonal maintenance worker position in the Public Works Department. Essential job functions include assisting with solid waste collection using hydraulically controlled tippers; pavement maintenance & repair; landscaping maintenance & litter control; and tree removal and maintenance. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a H.S. diploma or G.E.D and possess a valid Driver's License. Successful candidates must be in good physical condition & able to work in all outdoor weather conditions. All applicants are required to undergo a physical exam and drug screening prior to employment. Hiring range is $15.55 -$17.14 per hour, depending on qualifications. Hours are Monday -Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Must have flexibility to work 2 -5 days per week, but not to exceed 1,000 hours for the year.
